Misery Loves Company

Ever wonder why the Devil works so hard to entice people away from God?  He lost the war two thousand years ago when Christ rose from the dead. His end is fixed, he can't hope to defeat God and rule the universe, so why does he continue on?  I'm thinking it is because he knows he has lost and he wants to bring as many people as possible along with him to hell. The more he brings along the more he has to rule over in hell and the more "points" he scores against God's plan, eventhough the "points" mean nothing to his end. So that old saying is right on again, misery really does love company.
