What About This Thing Called Sin?

6/2/2013

Sin is a term often tossed about without thought. We ask forgiveness
for sins, we talk about sinning, and we think of sin as bad, but what is it
really?  What does that three-letter word really mean? Sin is any disobedience of God’s law and those that sin are separated from God and lost eternally. Period.

But that’s not the end. God knew we could never keep His law and that we
were always going to fall short of his expectations so he sent His son to live
the law perfectly in our stead and to suffer punishment for us, so that those
who had faith in His son, the Redeemer, could be right with
Him—eternally.
